Minister Alain AKOUALA ATIPAULT was born in 1959 in Point-Noire, Congo. Following his higher education in Nancy, Alain AKOUALA ATIPAULT, Minister in the Presidency of the Republic responsible for Special Economic Zones began his career in France. Along the way, he worked in various companies, while holding positions of responsibility, including Commercial Director of a textile factory next to Nancy.
He returned to Congo in 1992 where he set up his own consultancy specializing in communication and business marketing, he then was retained by the privatization committee on behalf of the World Bank. In 1999, he served as a communication’s consultant at the SNPC (National Petroleum Company of Congo).
In 2002, President Denis Sassou Nguesso, the presidential candidate for election, appointed him Deputy Campaign Director. Following this he was Minister of Communications, responsible for relations with parliament, government spokesman. Since 2009 he has been Minister in the Presidency of the Republic, responsible for Special Economic Zones.
